$6.50 pizza/pitcher special w/ music by Raggedy Edge from 7pm-10pm.
"The unique Raggedy Edge sound of Lynn Perdzock and Bob Farley had its roots in a chance meeting at a coffee shop open mic in March 2011. Since then they have developed a selection of cover and original songs that ranges from ballads to rockers, bluegrass to jazz, Big Band to country, and something they call folk-rap. With good-natured banter and a willingness to share tidbits about their songs, Raggedy Edge keeps audiences engaged with the variety of the music they perform.
Besides original works and covers of many classic and modern-day songs, Raggedy Edge covers "American Standards" from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. Their "Reminisce with Raggedy Edge" program has found them traveling a nationwide route providing Big Band tunes in a two-person format.
For Lynn, the music often turns to the finger-picking style of guitar playing, sung with a heartfelt soulful vocal. But when she picks up the mandolin, watch out for some high-energy bluegrass folk. For Bob, the goal is to voice his guitar to back the song. He can drive the music to the limits, or back off and be mellow, whatever the song requires.
Vocally, the duo personifies the saying that the whole is more than the sum of the parts. Singly their voices have a power and punch that is rare to find. However, when paired, their vocal harmonies are as rich, soaring and compatible as any you'll ever hear. Their experience singing together lets them bounce new ideas off each other on the go, so audiences are always hearing something new and wonderful in every show.
As Raggedy Edge criss-crosses the United States, audiences see how Lynn and Bob don't just sing songs--they bring them to life. Each performance is customized for the venue, whether it's singing their original story songs for an up-close private house concert or turning well-known favorites into extended instrumental backgrounds at a raucous restaurant or bar. This is one duo that knows how to strike a perfect sonic balance with the surroundings."
